Independent Living Supports


Description
Provides individualized support and training to allow adults to live independently in their own accommodation.

Service offers:

  • a residential option which is based on the choice of the individual
  • support for the individual in their own accommodation, with the individual responsible for his or her own living expenses and management of the accommodation as much as possible
  • individualized skill development training and/or support to individuals residing in the community in order to increase or maintain their current level of personal independence
  • support workers funded through Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD)

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • individuals age 18 and older 
  • individuals with developmental disabilities that may include: autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy and chromosome disorders
