Tertiary Palliative Care Unit

Provides care and support for palliative patients with complicated problems.

Offers care and support for people with a life-limiting illness. Service includes caring for each client's physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Treatment is offered for symptoms that have been hard to manage and need ongoing monitoring.

Once clients are stable, they are discharged to the most appropriate care setting. The average length of stay is 3 to 4 weeks, but may be longer.
