Description
Provides a 10 bed secure unit in the hospital to assess and treat people with severe addiction and mental health diagnosis.

Psychiatry ICU, provides intensive treatment for moderate to severe mental illness. This includes but is not limited to:

  • schizophrenia
  • bipolar disorder
  • borderline personality disorder
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • adjustment disorder
  • psychosis
  • drug-induced disorders

Patients admitted here are in a secure setting with no access off-unit. We specialize in de-escalation, acute behaviour stabilization, and treatment with mental health medications.
