Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • single parents and parents in blended families
  • with limited income
Individuals receiving Income Support, Alberta Adult Health Benefit, and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) are automatically eligible. See website for more eligibility details. 
Application Process
Service Access: By Appointment, To access service:
  • contact Child Support Services
  • Child Support Worker interview required
  • visit website for local Alberta Supports Centre
Required interview items include:
  • birth and marriage certificates
  • available previous agreements or court orders
  • address, phone number, and recent photo of child's other parent
  • record of support payments already made if applicable
  • confirmation of income including last 3 years of Income Tax Notices of Assessment and 3 recent paystubs if applicable
  • confirmation of child's expenses including childcare receipts, music lessons, tutoring, athletic activities, if applicable
