- Provides a coordinated response to address the needs of unhoused populations during extreme weather events.
Service offers:
- activation of an extreme weather response once forecasts indicate conditions of extreme heat or cold or poor air quality
Cold Weather Response includes:
- overnight shelters
- daytime services
- warming centres
- mobile warming stations
- emergency shelter shuttle: Beginning December 1 and operating from 10:30 PM until 4:00 AM, the Emergency Shelter Shuttle will run seven days per week to support persons sheltering along the LRT line. To determine the location of the Emergency Shelter Shuttle on a given night, please contact the HELP dispatch at 403-998-7388.
