Description
The Alberta Cancer Physiatry Program offers comprehensive care aimed at assessing, diagnosing, and treating cancer-related side effects to enhance patients' function and quality of life.

Our team of physiatrists - specialist physicians trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) - work to identify and address rehabilitation needs early, whether they arise from cancer itself or its treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy, transplant, and all systemic therapy. By focusing on the whole person, not just specific symptoms, our physiatrists tailor care to restore or optimize functional outcomes. We support patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship or palliative care, to maximize independence and well-being.
