- Performs diagnostic motility testing which measures strength, coordination, and movement within the gastrointestinal tract.
We operate a 2 room lab. There is a dedicated RN per room to perform diagnostic motlity studies.
***Please note patients will not recieve a formal consultation with a physician. This lab is purely for diagnostic testing.***
Our testing is performed on an outpatient basis, which use manometry, pH impedance for people with the following possible concerns:
- heartburn
- reflux
- non cardiac chest pain
- problems swallowing
- fecal incontinence
- constipation
Our lab currently supports patients from Central Zone, Edmonton Zone, North Zone and North West Territories.

Waiting Period: Yes,Due to the number of Motility Labs within Alberta (3) we have a longer waitlist than typical referred services. Our current waitlist is approximately 9 + months
