Description
Receives and handles complaints about registered architects' and interior designers' professional conduct, protecting the public interest and their registrants.

Service offers:

  • collection of complaints about members engaged in unprofessional conduct and / or the unskilled practice of architecture according to the standards established by the Architects Act, General Regulation, and Code of Ethics
  • regulation and advancment of the professions of architecture and interior design in Alberta

Professions are created by provincial legislation to protect the public by ensuring only qualified professionals are permitted to practice their occupation. The Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) is a self-governing professional association legislated by the Architects Act. The AAA serves the public and its registrants by administering the standard of practice for the professions of architecture and interior design in Alberta.
