Offers a variety of mental health therapy options for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) and racialized communities.

Service provides:

  • mental health therapy for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) and racialized communities using a wide range of modalities to help deal with everything from life transitions, anxiety / depression, grief, racial trauma, and more

Includes:

  • talk therapy / counselling for individuals, couples, families, and children of all age ranges
  • group therapy
  • eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)
  • somatic therapy
  • tension release exercises (TRE)
  • shamanic healing therapy
  • occupational therapy

Key Provider: Canadian certified counsellors, mental health therapists, occupational therapists, provisional psychologists, social workers
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) and racialized community members
Sessions are available for children, youth, adults, and seniors. All age groups are welcome, however not all clinicians see clients in every age group and clients will be referred to the appropriate clinician based on their age.

There is not typically limits on the number of sessions that a client can have, however, therapy offered through community initiatives or organization partnerships may have a set limit. In-person services available in Edmonton and virtual services available Canada wide.

Waitlists vary and the waiting period may be up to 2 weeks for the busiest clinicians.

Offers low and no cost therapy services. All clinicians offer sliding scales. Group therapy sessions can be offered on a sliding scale on a case-by-case basis.
