And we'll give treatments before surgery to make sure everything goes well during and after it. • Checking how strong and healthy you are for surgery and helping you get ready if needed
• Making sure any other health problems you have, like heart issues or Parkinson's, are as under control as possible before surgery
• Making sure the medicines you're taking are right for you before surgery
• Helping you quit smoking, get stronger with exercises before surgery, or eat better for a healthier recovery
• Figuring out if there might be any delays in getting better after surgery or going home
• Talking about what you want from your treatment and care. (Goals of Care discussions)
