Description
Health For Two is a free program for pregnant people who need extra support to have a healthy pregnancy.

Health for Two (Hf2) provides support throughout pregnancy and up to 2 months postpartum to people who require extra support to have a healthy pregnancy.

Services offered include:

  • education on pregnancy, birth, baby care and parenting (including pregnancy and parenting options)
  • support and referrals to community supports (such as maternity care, mental health, addictions, housing, food security)
  • resources may include grocery coupons and prenatal vitamins

Affiliation: Public Health Agency of Canada and in-kind support from over 60 community agencies.
Key Provider: dietitians, registered nurses (RNs), support workers

  • any pregnant person who requires extra support to have a healthy pregnancy
People may be experiencing:
  • isolation
  • food insecurity
  • unstable housing
  • domestic violence
  • teen pregnancy
  • substance use
  • mental health challenges
  • language or cultural barriers, newcomers
  • low income and other challenges

The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is currently experiencing higher than normal volumes of patients, including those presenting with complex and serious cases requiring increased attention from physicians and staff. When clinic capacity limits are reached, the UCC has to close earlier than usual.
