- Offers development of customized courses and mental wellness tools to support the unique needs of diverse groups and communities in Edmonton.
Service provides:
- development of customized courses and mental wellness tools for organizations, groups, and communities
- training and volunteer opportunities for individual community members to become ambassadors / facilitators
- programming for organizations, groups, and communities that is designed to be delivered and facilitated by individual community members, called volunteer ambassadors, who are a part of those equity-seeking organizations, groups, and communities within Edmonton
Includes:
- a variety of training programs, workshops, presentations, and information sessions developed for specific organizations, groups, and communities in co-operation with community partners, drawing on their specific needs and experiences to start the conversation about the realities of mental illness, stigma, and suicide
- content that reflects the needs of the unique and individual community in Edmonton with an emphasis on strategies that promote resiliency and wellness and content based on lived experience
