This program offers:

Community Connection

  • connect you to long-term, local community-based services tailored to address various needs such as mental health, addiction, social well-being, physical health, education, life skills, and spiritual health

Diverse Treatment Approaches

  • our experienced staff employs short-term treatments using various modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. We customize the treatment plan to your unique needs

Structured Success

  • successfully complete your personalized goals within the court-adjournment timeframe (three months for adults, four months for youth), and watch as your charges are withdrawn by the Crown Prosecutor. It's a journey towards a brighter future

Supportive Path for All

  • if you are assessed as not eligible for the program, rest assured that we provide valuable mental health and addiction support recovery recommendations to you and the referring Crown Prosecutor

Eligibility
Yes, Adults and youth living with severe and persistent mental disorders who have been charged with low risk minor offences that require immediate support and referral to mental health services. All other indididuals are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Application Process
Service Access: Professional Referral Required, Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information. All referrals must be signed and approved by a crown prosecutor at court. Call your local Mental Health Diversion Service Site for service access.
