- availability of city facilities to those in need for temporary daytime reprieve when weather conditions are extremely hot or cold
Extreme weather includes:
- when temperatures drop below negative 20 degrees Celsius with a windchill for 3 consecutive days
- when temperatures reach 30 degrees Celsius without humidex for more than 2 consecutive days

Leduc Recreation Centre hours are:
- 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturday to Sunday
- 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on statutory holidays.
