- Licenses and monitors daycare centres, out-of-school care centres, and preschool programs.
Service offers:
- licensing and monitoring of childcare centres and programs that provide care for 7 or more children to ensure that they are following the requirements laid out in the Early Learning and Child Care Act and Early Learning and Child Care Regulations
- program assessment and consultation to ensure that children's health, safety, and development needs are being met

- private childcare in a private home for 6 children or less, not including the caregivers' own children
