Offers a confidential, centralized resource for reporting concerns that a member of the University of Alberta community may be at risk of harming themselves or others, with the purpose of connecting that person to resources and support.

Service provides:

  • a confidential, centralized resource for individuals to report concerning behaviors of a student, faculty member, staff member, or postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta who they believe to be at risk of harming themselves or others and connect the individual at risk to support and resources

Includes:

  • assessing suicide and / or violence risk
  • coaching and recommendations
  • discussion of safety measures
  • referral to resources
  • follow-up

Does not provide a response to imminent or urgent situations. Individuals should reach out to 911 or the University of Alberta's Protective Services in emergency situations.
