Professional Insurance Careers

Service provides:

• program to prepare students with the skills and licenses they need to pursue careers in the insurance industry

Includes:

• transitioning unemployed or marginally employed Albertans into meaningful employment in the insurance industry
• job-search support, coaching, and guidance for 90 days after program completion
• access to extensive employer network
• General Licensing Qualification (GLQP 1) and a Life License Qualification (LLQP) to work in the insurance industry
• interview skills, resume building, interpersonal skills, and a Solution Focused Selling Workshop

• residents of Calgary, Alberta
• Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen
• 18 years and older
• unemployed or marginally employed
• collecting regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits or eligible for EI
• graduated from post-secondary at least 2 years prior and must not have taken any other government funded skills training within the last 4 years
