Provides a program that will prepare Indigenous youth for entry level employment in hospitality in 11 weeks.

Service provides:

  • a program that will prepare Indigenous youth for entry level employment in hospitality in 11 weeks

Includes:

  • 8 weeks in the classroom and 3 weeks in a paid work placement
  • a focus on soft skills and professional skills
  • resume writing
  • job search and interviewing skills
  • a monthly living allowance
  • all materials and supplies
  • hospitality courses certified by the American Hospitality Lodging Education Institute (AHLEI)
  • employment certifications such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Food Safety, First Aid, and Pro-Serve
  • public transportation support
  • 90 days of continued support after program completion
  • Grounding Ceremony and Elder Blessing
  • opportunity to meet experts in the hospitality industry
  • excursions outside the classroom
  • mentorship and coaching.
