Offers a personalized job search assistance to French-speaking youth aged 15 to 30 in order to help them acquire the knowledge and employability skills needed to enter the Alberta labour market.

Service provides:

  • a personalized job search assistance to French-speaking youth aged 15 to 30 in order to help them acquire the knowledge and employability skills needed to enter the Alberta labour market

Includes:

  • financial support throughout the job search to help eliminate all barriers to employment
  • a wage subsidy for employers to increase the youth's chances of getting hired
  • funding available for exposure courses (first aid, security license, forklift operator, etc.)
  • free English courses and tutoring sessions
  • reimbursement of job search-related expenses (criminal record check, work clothes and personal protective equipment)
  • free bus tickets or reimbursement of transportation costs

Affiliation: Funded by the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.
Eligibility

  • French-speaking youth 15 to 30 years
  • living in Edmonton, Calgary, Bonnyville, or Fort McMurray 
  • and are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or accepted refugee
