- The Adolescent Pregnancy clinic is a multidisciplinary team that provides prenatal care to teenage girls in the Edmonton area.The clinic also offers birth control counselling and prescriptions.
Services include:
- Help with decision making regarding your pregnancy and referrals to other resources if needed
- prenatal visits (e.g. vitamins, check ups, counselling)
- prenatal education and hospital tours
- shared care with a doctor that delivers babies
- care for the first 6 months after delivery
- on-site blood collection
- transportation support
- interpreter services available if needed
- birth control counselling and prescribing
- sexually transmitted infection testing
- arranging ultrasounds
- referrals for support with housing, parenting, nutrition, substance use issues and family violence
