Description
Provides group support for adults who are grieving a loss to suicide.

Service offers:

  • support to adults who are grieving a loss to suicide
  • 2 annual community events

Includes:

  • 3 self-contained, closed-group program modules: Emotional Regulation; Guilt, Shame, and Self-Compassion; Beliefs and Values
  • opportunities for participants to reflect and explore how these factors relate to their grief journeys
  • a drop-in support group with loosely structured session content for those who have attended the 12-week group
  • a focus on offering support to those waiting to begin a module, wanting to augment their participation in group, or for whom the group is not a good fit

Annual community events include:

  • An Evening to Remember - an annual memorial to remember loved ones lost to suicide
  • Life After Suicide Loss - a safe space for those grieving a loss to suicide to share experiences and learn from each other

After attending an intake session, participants will determine their readiness to join group. Group start dates will be provided. Suicide Grief Support Services are being offered online and through phone support.

Hours of Operation

Support hours vary. Groups take place weekly on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Problem solving groups are every 2 weeks on Wednesdays, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Drop-in groups are every 2 weeks on Wednesdays, 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and Thursdays, 6:30 PM  to 8:00 PM.
