Description
Supports youth living with disabilities to access training and acquire external certifications to find sustainable employment.

Service provides:

  • support to youth participants living with disabilities, including those without an official diagnosis, to overcome already-existing and COVID-19 related barriers to employment
  • access to relevant training and acquire external certifications (tickets) to obtain work exposure / experience through trades certifications to find sustainable employment

Includes:

  • support with purchasing safety gloves, security boots, tools, toolkits, and more
  • bus tickets
  • in house training and external certifications
  • bus training
  • and more
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • 16 to 30 years
  • with a disability (documented or without an official diagnosis)
  • legally entitled to work in Canada
  • ready, willing, and able to work
  • able to self-administer medications and arrange for transportation independently
This is a program for non-registered participants in any trade.
