Trauma Program

Service provides:

• an opportunity to nurture connection and safety in the caregiver-child relationship after experiencing trauma

Children and youth may come into the program via 1 of 3 streams:

• Outpatient Trauma Clinic - works with families and youth through individual and family therapy appointments
• Trauma and Attachment Group - a structured year-long program for children and their guardians
• Consultative Services - provides trauma consultation to therapists from other CASA programs

• 5 to 18 years
• with complex developmental trauma or attachment issues
• and who may be having significant challenges in their daily routine

• discuss a referral to the program with a mental health therapist or psychiatrist (these professionals can be from Alberta Health Services, CASA, or a private practice)

There may be a waiting period.

• automatic front doors (internal doors are not automatic)
• gender-neutral and accessible washrooms
