Provides legal assistance to self-represented litigants with civil matters at the Court of King?s Bench.

Service offers:

  • assistance with applications, bankruptcy, motions and other appearances
  • legal assistance with civil matters including reclosure and bankruptcy, builder's liens, wills and estates
  • summary legal advice and information on court procedure





Affiliation: Pro Bono Students Canada, Student Legal Assistance, Student Legal Services of Edmonton.
Key Provider: Volunteer lawyers, articling students and law students.

Yes,  Service targeted to:
  • self-represented litigant with a civil matter in the Court of Kings' Bench requiring assistance while accessing the Calgary or Edmonton Courthouse

Waiting Period: Yes,

 Wait time varies. In-person assistance is currently offered on a walk-in, first-come-first-served basis. Some wait time exists between the application date and the advice session for virtual shifts.
