Service provides:

• mediation services, advocacy for consumers, and information about the utilities market

Mediation Services include:

• investigating and mediating concerns, such as difficulties understanding contracts or billing errors, with utility companies when consumers have exhausted all other known avenues of issue resolution

Regulatory Services include:

• representation for Alberta residential, farm, and small commercial utility consumers in regulatory hearings before the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), with the goal to ensure the lowest regulated rates, consistent with reasonable levels of service
• working closely with other government agencies and utility service providers to ensure that consumer interests are addressed in policies, regulations, and industry practices

• the information that consumers need to make informed choices about how to purchase electricity and natural gas
• an online list of retailers and distributors
• helping energy consumers make informed choices about how to purchase electricity and natural gas based on their individual circumstances
