Provides opportunities for African, Black, and Caribbean youth to develop leadership and teamwork skills, and effectively learn about and address community needs.

Service provides:

  • youth empowerment program that promotes capacity building and social capital

Includes:

  • youth-composed taskforces including Education and Advocacy, Community Wellness, Arts and Culture, and Social Media and Outreach
  • events, workshops, community initiatives, and professional development opportunities that focus on building soft skills, expanding networks, and building community
  • meaningful connections with youth of African descent in a culturally sensitive environment
  • educational, career, and personal development opportunities
  • skills related to team and relationship building
  • volunteer opportunities to support skill-building
  • networking opportunities
  • community building through meaningful engagement
  • effective avenues for community advocacy
