- Provides assessment and treatment to adults who have a legal obligation, addiction and mental health concerns, and are formally assessed as being medium to high risk for reoffend.
FACS (Forensic Assessment and Community Services) provides assessment and treatment to adults who meet the following mandate (must meet three criteria):
- addiction and mental health concerns
- legal obligation
- formally assessed as being medium to high risk for reoffending based on a formalized risk tool
Key Provider: addiction counselors, behavioral specialists, forensic counselors, occupational therapists (OTs), psychiatrists, psychologists, psychometrists, recreation therapists, registered nurses (RNs), rehab practitioners, social workers, therapy assistants (TAs) - Eligibility
- Yes, Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Service Access: Professional Referral Required, Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.
Referrals to FACS are accepted from the Courts and Community Corrections.
