Description
Assists registered clients to obtain medically necessary, mobility-related equipment and assistive devices.

Service offers:

  • assistance to clients in obtaining medically necessary, mobility-related equipment and assistive devices

Includes:

  • mobility aids (wheelchair, walker, scooter)
  • seating and positioning devices (specialty cushions)
  • orthopaedic devices (shoes and insoles, leg braces, ankle foot orthotic (AFO), splinting)
  • assistive bathing devices
  • specialized beds and mattresses
  • lift chairs
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • individuals diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder
  • who do not have access to other funding options such Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) or private medical benefits plans
