Offers a training program to caregivers or loved ones improve or repair relationships with people who are unable to understand they are mentally ill, with the goal of helping them accept treatment.

Service offers:

  • a training course for family members or caregivers of someone experiencing psychosis (i.e. hallucinations or delusions) and who isn't aware of having a mental illness

Goals include:

  • improving or repairing relationships and communication
  • helping loved ones to accept treatment
Eligibility

  • residents of Alberta
  • who are family members or caregivers of someone experiencing psychosis (hallucinations and / or delusions) who isn’t aware of having a mental illness
Courses are intended for family members. Health care providers or otherwise seeking information to help in their work should contact to discuss other training.
