Description
Offers long-term support for healthy pregnancies to women and their children, including decreasing the risks of prenatally exposed pregnancies.

Service provides:

  • a 3 year relationship-based mentorship program initiated to support women to stop or reduce their alcohol and drug use during pregnancy

Includes:

  • home visits
  • transportation support (doctor appointments, addiction counselling appointments, and more)
  • identifying personal goals and working with a mentor to meet those goals
  • assistance with finding housing
  • working on establishing an income
  • addressing addiction issues

The goal of the program is to reduce the number of children who are prenatally exposed to alcohol and / or other drugs.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to women:
  • 18 years and older
  • who are pregnant or up to 6 months postpartum
  • and have used drugs or alcohol during pregnancy
