- Description
- Offers long-term support for healthy pregnancies to women and their children, including decreasing the risks of prenatally exposed pregnancies.
Service provides:
- a 3 year relationship-based mentorship program initiated to support women to stop or reduce their alcohol and drug use during pregnancy
Includes:
- home visits
- transportation support (doctor appointments, addiction counselling appointments, and more)
- identifying personal goals and working with a mentor to meet those goals
- assistance with finding housing
- working on establishing an income
- addressing addiction issues
The goal of the program is to reduce the number of children who are prenatally exposed to alcohol and / or other drugs.
