- Engages newcomer and Canadian-born gardeners to work together and learn from each other by growing vegetables, flowers, and fruit on a plot at Edmonton Urban Farm.
Service provides:
- an opportunity for members to work together each garden season to plan, prepare, plant, maintain, and harvest a community garden
Includes opportunities to:
- meet new people
- work as part of a team towards a common goal
- spend time outdoors being active
- share gardening knowledge and experience
- learn from others
- harvest and take home produce from the garden
- join a Garden Committee that meets once a month to make decisions about the garden, plan activities and workshops on different gardening topics, and organize work days and watering days during the growing season
