Stop Abuse in Families Society


Description
Provides workshops that increase awareness about abuse and curb violent and intimidating behaviours among elementary, junior high, and high school students.

Service provides:

  • interactive workshops which are modified to suit the age level of students

Topics covered may include:

  • anti-bullying
  • anger management
  • sexual harassment
  • conflict resolution
  • healthy relationships
  • dating violence
  • tolerance and empathy
  • media violence
  • family violence

Workshops are also available to community groups and organizations and are tailored to meet the needs of the participants.

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • elementary, junior high, and highschools in St. Albert, Sturgeon County, and Parkland County
  • or community groups and organizations
