Offers confidential support, education, and advocacy for women who are or have been involved in an abusive relationship.

Service provides:

  • confidential support, education, and advocacy for women who are or have been involved in an abusive relationship
  • a psycho-educational environment with the opportunity to learn about the numerous issues related to violence in intimate relationships as well as on-going support from group facilitators and fellow participants
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • women
  • who are or have been involved in an abusive relationship
  • and are residents of St. Albert, Parkland County and area, and Sturgeon County and area
If there is room in the groups, residents in the cities of Edmonton, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain may be able to attend. Contact to determine availability. 
Application Process
Service Access: By Appointment, To access service:
  • phone for an appointment
  • visit website for groups currently offered
Currently offereing tele-counselling, safety planning, and phone consultations by appointment. An assesment interview is conducted and some individual counselling may be required prior to group participation. New participants are not accepted into an established group.
