Service provides:
- materials lending
- wireless internet available on public access computers or personal device
- Alberta Wide Borrowing (ME Libraries) - library members can register with non-Parkland public libraries across the province to easily borrow physical items (not eContent) using their Parkland Regional Library System card; borrowed materials can be returned to any public library as well
- interlibrary loans - borrow print and audio books, movies, music CDs, game discs, and journal and newspaper articles from libraries across the province
- borrowing books by mail - clients who live remotely, are homebound, or have mobility issues can request library materials be delivered to their mailbox by Canada Post
- photocopying / printing
- reading / material suggestions and research help
- alternate formats for print disabilities - large print books, audio books on discs or in digital format (direct to device or computer), braille books, described video and equipment (DAISY readers); can also help register for services through the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) or the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA)
- outreach and homebound delivery - for those unable to visit the library in person, volunteers will deliver materials to a home or care facility
- exam invigilation (proctoring) - offers a quiet space and exam supervisor
- tools and equipment - Parkland Regional libraries lend many non-book materials such as eReaders, pedometers, radon screening kits, power monitors, and DAISY book readers; also have snowshoes, an electronic keyboard, sewing machines and sewing supplies, outdoor games such as bocce ball, and Duplo Lego
