- Description
- The Sleep Medicine Program at the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioural Sleep Medicine Program offer consultations, sleep studies if indicated and follow-up for patients suspected of a primary sleep disorder.
Such disorders include:
- Narcolepsy and other daytime sleepiness disorders
- Parasomnias
- Restless legs syndrome/periodic limb movement
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea (without suspected pulmonary or cardiac comorbidities)
- Shift work sleep disorder
- Disorders of timing of the sleep-wake cycle and
- Insomnia disorder (the only treatment offered is through our Behavioural Sleep Service with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi))
