Description

Provides food hampers and other items when available to those in need in the community.

Service provides:

food hampers including eggs, margarine, milk, yogurt, cheese, fresh produce, frozen meat and vegetables, bread, and a variety of non-perishable food items
personal care and cleaning items
pet food (when it is available)
Thanksgiving hampers
Christmas hampers

Eligibility

Yes, Service targeted to:

residents of Black Diamond, Longview, Millarville, Priddis, and Turner Valley
with low income

Application Process

Service Access: Application Required, To access service:

call during intake hours or submit hamper request form online
new clients must bring a piece of photo identification (ID) and proof of residence

Hampers must be requested ahead of time. Food hampers are available once every 30 days. Clients may also be asked for proof of income, housing costs, ID for dependent children, or information on other adults in the same residence. In some circumstances, may ask for additional proof of need.
