Description
Provides the opportunity for youth to train, volunteer, and run summer programs for children.

Service offers:

  • an opportunity for youth to train with recreation leaders and volunteer to run summer programs for children

Includes:

  • leadership skills development
  • opportunities to gain valuable experience
  • a letter of recommendation after completion
  • the opportunity to volunteer in playground programs at neighbourhood parks involving a variety of activities, such as games, crafts, drama, music, sports, and more
  • the opportunity to volunteer in a registered week-long themed program involving sports, drama, science, and field trips
