- Provides emergency assistance for people in need.
Service provides:
- assistance and referrals to individuals in need who are unable to receive help anywhere else
May include:
- short-term, emergency financial assistance to avoid eviction / utility disconnection, urgent access to prescriptions / medical needs, or emergency accommodation
- assistance with deliveries for isolated individuals who may need supplies / food bank hampers
- Keep In Touch Program - check-in phone calls by a volunteer for those identified as experiencing social isolation, including seniors
- Help Closet - assistance with basic needs / toiletries / winter gear / technology access / clothing / household items
- assistance with emergency food, medical- or job-related transportation
- assistance with identification document fees
- Furniture Donation Program - furniture to assist those in need who are re-establishing their residence and have low income
- seasonal outreach programs to assist with back to school needs
- Stockings of Care which provides practical gifts to single adults / seniors at Christmas
