Description
Provide a holistic support and case management service for newcomers to Canada.

Service offers:

  • a Gateway Planner to help each newcomer throughout their unique journey
  • a Gateway Personalized Plan with tailored referral to the right service at the right agency based on individual needs
  • support from A-Z of the newcomer's settlement process
  • support that bypasses a newcomer's need to navigate multiple services, unnecessary appointments and repeat their story to multiple agencies


Affiliation: Alberta International Medical Graduates Association (AIMGA), Calgary Counseling Centre (CCC), Calgary Local Immigration Partnership (CLIP), Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council (CRIEC), Catholic Family Services (CFS), Centre For Newcomers (CFN), Chroma Technologies, Financial Planning Association of Canada, La Cité des Rocheuses, MindFuel, Perlin Foundation, The Immigrant Education Society (TIES), Trellis, United Way, University of Calgary: Department of Social Work, Windmill Microlending, Women in Need Society (WINS)

Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to
  • newcomers to Canada. That is, anyone not born in Canada
  • ages 18 and over. Parents can be given referrals
    to support services for their children but children will not be individually assessed.
