- Provides palliative care companion volunteers for caregiver respite.
Service offers:
- specifically trained volunteers who can provide a few hours of respite so caregivers can tend to their own needs such as shopping or attending an appointment
Volunteers cannot provide medical care, but can sit with a person and keep them company. All volunteers receive 16 hours of compassionate care training from Alberta Health Services.
