Kinnections Community Wellness: Kinnect House Intensive Program

Service provides:

• training and support for parents and guardians who have children / youth with high needs and behaviours
• a specialized, part-time, out-of-home living arrangement for youth while their guardians receive support and training

Program elements for guardians include:

• an assigned family worker
• weekly training and support group
• collaborative work with the child / youth's team
• family mediation
• family therapeutic supports
• regular meetings with a family worker with transfer skills into the family home

Program elements for children and youth include:

• an assigned key worker
• 3 nights per week at a staffed home (Kinnect House) or connected therapeutic host home
• individual weekly therapeutic support
• emotional regulation and behaviour skill development
• behaviour interventions in collaboration with a team of clinicians and staff
• regular outings and events to reinforce skills in the community

• parents and guardians
• who have children / youth with high needs and behaviours

• call to speak to an intake co-ordinator
