Description

Provides federal grants for individuals apprenticing in Red Seal trades.

Service offers:

a maximum $2,000.00 taxable grant for apprentices registered in a Red Seal trade
a maximum $2,000.00 taxable grant for completing an apprenticeship and obtaining journeyman certification
a grant is not a loan and does not need to be repaid

Eligibility

Yes, Service targeted to:

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons
must complete first year/level (or equivalent) to apply for the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant
provide proof of registration and completion using acceptable supporting documents
be registered with a provincial authority as an apprentice in a designated Red Seal trade
high school students are not eligible
