Crisis Response Team

The Crisis Response Team (CRT) is a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses and Mental Health Therapists that work in collaboration with on call Psychiatry in supporting the needs of Addiction and Mental Health patients that present to the Emergency Department through crisis stabilization, mental health assessment, referral and follow up as required.
Patients accessing this service are first seen by the triage team in the Emergency Department, then are referred to CRT if safe and appropriate to do so.

Referrals are received from the Emergency Department or other inpatient units as appropriate.

Emergency Department staff contact CRT directly.

Wait times can vary, every best effort is made to be seen as soon as possible.
