- Medically supervised Detox in the Swan Hills Healthcare Centre to allow adults to more safely withdraw from substance use.
This is a voluntary program for adult (18 years and older) Alberta residents who are needing a structured, safe and supportive environment to withdraw from alcohol and other drugs.
The detox program has access to consulting Addiction Counsellors who are on site one day per week and available other weekdays for consultation.
Services may include:- physician supervised program
- on site medical supports
- stabilizing health
- assessment
- addiction treatment planning
- discharge planning
- referral to other programs / services

Individuals contact the Detox Nurse directly. The Detox Nurse will gather information and consult with physician who determines suitability.
