Provides employability skills and alternative career path exploration in the area of business-related occupations / industries.

Service provides:

  • a 5 month employability skills program focused on supporting internationally educated professionals with education and experience in business-related occupations / industries
  • an 8 week paid practicum

Occupations / industry sectors include:

  • management
  • marketing and communications
  • public administration
  • information systems

Key Provider: career development facilitator, career development practitioner
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to permanent residents of Canada or new Canadian citizens residing in Alberta who:
  • are unemployed or marginally employed
  • demonstrate readiness, willingness, and ability to complete the full 5 months of programming
  • are graduates of a degree program from an international institution with studies and experience in business-related occupations and / or industry sectors
  • possess a minimum Canadian Language Benchmarks for Academics (CLBA) score of 5 or more in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
Application Process
Service Access: Registration Required, To access service:
  • submit an application package which includes resume, copies of degree and transcripts, and the completion of a Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) assessment tool
  • attend an information session and an interview with program staff
