- Provides information and support for seniors and / or their family members / children.
Service provides:
- assistance filling out government forms such as Old Age Security (OAS), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Alberta Seniors Benefits, and other senior programs
- help with letter writing, retirement questions, and education
- information for children and family members about ways to help reduce caregiver burnout, things they can do to help their parents and the services available in the community for them. Mediation between the family can be arranged.
The Alberta Seniors Benefits and Community Supports pamphlets and applications are available in the office as well as access to CPP, OAS and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) forms.
