- direct emotional and practical support
- information about the cycle of abuse, its effects on women, and how to live free of abuse and violence
- information and referral on community resources
- information on protective orders, restraining orders
- 1-on-1 safety planning
- outreach programs which provides emotional and practical support to women and families once they leave the shelter
- support groups for women or women and their children who have experienced family violence
