Provides a safe, violence-free environment for children involved in family violence.

Service provides

  • a safe, violence-free environment where children learn positive coping strategies and alternatives to aggressive behaviours

Includes:

  • individual and group counselling sessions that help to increase self-esteem, practice appropriate communication skills, and learn safety planning
  • ensuring the educational needs of the children are fulfilled during their stay at the shelter

Affiliation: Partnered with the Alberta Board of Education.
