Description
Offers support for Indigenous women who are pregnant or 6 months after birth and report alcohol and / or drug use.

Service offers:

  • mentorship
  • connection and referrals to community addiction services
  • information and connection for birth control and pregnancy prevention options
  • parenting information and support with navigating Children Services
  • attend appointments and advocacy

Affiliation: Funded by South Alberta Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Network.
Key Provider: parent-child assistance program (PCAP) mentor
Eligibility
Yes, Service targeted to:
  • Indigenous women
  • 16 years and older
  • pregnant or up to six months after birth
  • who report alcohol and / or drug use
  • who are not engaged with other community services
  • or are at risk of having a child prenatally exposed to alcohol or drugs
