Makerspace

Service offers:

• free or low barrier access to creative technologies such as high-end creative workstations, vinyl cutting, heat press, recording studios, digital conversion (VHS and cassette), 3D printing, and more
• staff to assist people get started and offer training and workshops
• some drop-in access, but most services require a booking in advance and some require training for the first booking
• online events

Stanley A. Milner includes:

• creative workstations, vinyl cutting, heat press, digital conversion (VHS and cassette), recording studio, 3D printing, and more
• Al and Fran Olsen Children's Makerspace offers activities recommended for children 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12
• Gamerspace

Abbottsfield Branch includes:

• creative workstations, vinyl cutting, digital conversion (VHS and cassette), and a 3D printer for classes

Capilano Branch includes:

• creative workstations, vinyl cutting, digital conversion (VHS and cassette), and a 3D printer for classes

Londonderry Branch includes:

• creative workstations and vinyl cutting

• drop in for creative workshops
• contact to book appointment for other makerspace services; some require training for the first booking
• contact to book an appointment for the Al and Fran Olsen Children's Makerspace
• visit website for hours of operation and holiday hours. 

Heat press and sign vinyl costs $3.15 per square foot.

Plastic / polylactic acid (PLA) filament for 3D printing costs $0.10 per gram.
